Hurricane Rick Image set, October 18-22, 2009Shortly before it struck land (October 20 - 21, 2009) Hurricane Rick had become one of he most powerful hurricanes to approach the west coast of Mexico. It moved slightly north and shredded into a minor weather system (in terms of wind speed), but became a major rain maker across Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana. This page features sixteen photos (October 19 - 22, 2009) from the geostationary GOES Pacific satellite that shows the end of this hurricane, as well as the slow development of tropical system Neki west of Hawaii.
