A comment from the teacher who created this file: "Well, I was successful...I thought I had this audacity thing right. I actually recorded it yesterday just as a test recording. Today I tried to fix it--you know so it sounds better, but my microphone for some reason is not picking up anything...so I'm sending it as it is. It's all in French, if you'd like to know what I'm saying I'm pasting it below. This is a poem written by Guillaume Apollinaire--a very famous French poet. Enjoy!" |

Dr. Giza's tutorial that he developed for using Audacity for sound narration and enhancement is online at A summary of the process: Students use audacity to record a narration, perhaps saving it in Audacity's AUP format. Then they record or import sound effects to a second or third channel, and mix them together, exporting them in the popular MP3 format. Audacity is an open-source sound recording and editing product, freely accesible and distributable. It is available for all the major platforms, Apple, (OsX), Windows, and Linux. To export MP3 format files, you must add the LAME encoder plugin, which is also free. |
